There is zero mercury content and the lights are silent when operating. The strip lights are a self contained unit with no serviceable parts (LED bulbs cannot be removed). They can be mounted, for example under a cabinet, or hung from included clips. Can also be used with the Universal T5 Light Stand (sold separately).
